Hello Exeter Run Club Members!
Governor Sununu announced that athletic activities may now occur individually or in small groups of up to 10 people. The ERC Board of Directors has voted to allow our page to be used as a forum for individuals looking to plan running activities with others.
As eager as we are to get running together again, at this time, club organized group runs (Trivia Tuesday, Rail Trail Wednesday, Bandstand Sunday) will remain cancelled. Safely limiting the numbers in groups to 10 runners (or less) and maintaining safe distancing is currently beyond our control. The Board will meet again in July and will reassess the topic.
In the spirit of running and community, we hope this makes our page a safe place for runners to post about their run if they choose to do so. We ask that there is no judgement or negative comments posted. Please keep in mind that choosing to run in groups is a personal choice and there will be zero tolerance for bullying.
If you choose to run with others please review and follow Sununu’s Stay At Home 2.0 Guidelines (reference: https://www.covidguidance.nh.gov/), including:
1. All athletes should bring to sporting events and wear reusable/washable cloth face coverings over their nose and mouth when around others and not actively engaged in athletics and when social distancing is not possible.
2. Athletes and other attendees should be reminded to maintain a distance of at least 6 feet from others.
Thank you and Happy Running,
Exeter Run Club Board of Directors
